New skin care routine

Hello beauties

For Christmas I received a lovely No7 Skin care collection. It is a collection of their must-have skin care essentials, the gift set includes a Hot cloth cleanser with a muslin cloth, the protect & perfect Night cream, the Protect & perfect Day cream and the Beautiful skin eye make-up remover. Also it came with a ultra-soft headband to keep your hair out of your face while you are doing your skin care routine.

I have never really had a skin care routine that was structured. I would put moisturiser on and do the odd face-wash but that was all, so I think these No7 products are honestly perfect for anyone's first skin care routine.

If anyone is like me and has really sensitive skin, I do find it very difficult to find products that my skin wont react too. Luckily I haven't had any problems with these products and I have been using them for a good 3 weeks now!

All of these products used together leave my skin feeling feeling soft and pumped. I haven'y had any breakouts and my skin has felt a lot more hydrated.

If you have any other No7 products that you really like please let me know in the comments!

Thanks for reading

Glamour Beauty Box - Power List Edition

Hello everyone!

A couple of weeks ago, i received this beautiful little box of beauty goodies from Glamour. These beauty products are from the 2014 beauty power list!! The total worth of this box is a whopping £83.47, however you actually get everything for £15.99 which i think is a brilliant deal.

When i received this there was nothing wrong with the packaging so it survives delivery which is a plus for a start! The packaging is a perfect size to keep other products in when you have taken everything out. I really liked the bright pink with the black writing, i think it really makes the box look classic.

Content inside the box:
I was so happy with everything inside, with 7 high quality products from various different brands. I think this is a great idea because it gives you the opportunity to try new products.

Liz Earle: Cleanse & polish hot cloth cleaner
When i saw this was in the box i was so excited to try it out. I had always wanted to try it our but never got round to buying the product. The first time i used it, it was a really weird sensation, rubbing the lotion onto a dry, full face of make-up. However it is so gentle on the skin and really breaks down your make-up.

Maybelline: Nude colour sensational lipstick
Its all about the nude lip at the moment, thanks to Kylie Jenner! She rocks the nude lip like no other. This lipstick is creamy and really easy to apply, lasts throughout the day and doesn't try out my lips which is a winner for me. Maybelline do 5 flesh-tone shades in their collection.

James Reed: Sleep Mask Tan
Firstly, i had never heard of James Reed before so it was really cool to try a product that i haven't eve heard of before. I haven't yet mastered the whole 'Fake-Tan with no streaks' yet however i am getting better. Never have i ever put fake-tan on my face though! I was scared to test the sleep mask but i did and i smelts great, gave you a 'summer glow' and wasn't streaky at all!

 Bourjois: Volume 1 second mascara
Receiving a mascara was like a gods gift, i had currently ran out of mascara and needed to purchase a new one anyway! Honestly, i probably wouldn't have even given Bourjois a thought to buy a mascara before i tried this one. It makes your lashes look fuller and longer straight away, i have quite tiny eyes, and my eyes look so much brighter and open when i use this. I have used it everyday since and still loving it!

Laura Mercier: Foundation Primer
This primer is something i have already done a whole blog post on, however i still wanted to include it. I personally think everyone needs with in the make-up collection, its formula is a creamy gel, that doesn't feel greasy on the skin after, it leaves it feeling soft and smooth. This product will leave you feel picture ready all day long.

I hope you have enjoyed my little reviews on these products. Defiantly go and check out these boxes. they would make a great Birthday or Christmas gift for someone, or treat yourself! Im sure you wont regret it at all. Thank-you for reading.

My Current Favourite Product

Hey,

I have never been too bothered about using a primer, i have only started using one for about a year! Firstly i brought the Maybelline Baby Skin - instant pore eraser. i really enjoyed using this product, it done the job it says it does which is a plus. It is very light on the skin and does make my foundation go on nicer. Although i had an allergic reaction to this, and i kept breaking out every time i used this product - sucks i know!!

More recently i decided to try a high-end primer, I chose the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer. Now this is a wonderful product! and best of all, it doesn't give me a massive breakout every time i use it! So i would definitely recommend this primer if you have sensitive skin, like me! This primer keeps my makeup in place all day, it makes my skin feel really smooth and my foundation goes on so smooth and effortless.

I hope this little review will help some of you!

My Halloween Make-up

Hello everyone!!

I hope you all enjoyed Halloween as much as i did. This year i decided to go as 'The Black Swan'. I had found many different pictures and styles and tutorials of this look, however i decided to just do my own take on this look and this is what i have created. I hope this can help some of you that are struggling for ideas for next year, or for a fancy dress party you may have planned ahead.

As you can see from above. I have put my hair into a slick doughnut bun, using one of the buns you can buy from any supermarkets or beauty stores. To achieve the same hair all you will need is ...

  • 1 hair Doughnut
  • 1 hair band
  • bobby pins for any fly away
  • hair spray

For my makeup i didn't want to have a pale face like she did in the film, so i have just done my normal base/foundation routine, with a slightly more defined contour. For the eye makeup, I used...
  • A black liquid eyeliner, to make a guide around my eyes of where i wanted the two points on my nose to sit.
  • I used 'Blackout' out of the Naked 2 Palette as my base on the lid, with this shade i went right up to my eyebrows and towards the side of my eyes. I built up the colour and intensity until i was happy with it
  • To achieve the 'feathery' look, i found an coal black eye-liner from 'Frontcover' that had a small sponge/smudging tool on the end of it. So i applied the eye-liner from the ends of my eyebrows to the start of my hairline, then with the sponge end i just flicked it away from my face
  • I also added some silver glitter to the inner corners of my eyes, to make it look brighter and to  make the look a bit more glamours. There is also some glitter blended in with the flicks around my eyes, just to make it a bit different
  • This look would have looked better with some big eyelashes, unfortunately i wasn't able to find some in time, so i just applied mascara

It is not very clean, but on my lips i have lined with with just a normal black coal eye-liner, colouring in my lips in the corners as well with the black eye-liner, as i wanted to create an ombre style look. So for the rest of lips, i used a matte red/berry lipstick from Rimmel.

(EXCUSE THE MESSY ROOM)
For my outfit, i just wore a simple black velvet dress from Boohoo, paired with some chunky heeled boots from River Island.... And of-course some fake blood, it is Halloween.

Thank You for reading this, i hope it has inspired some of you too also recreate this look.

Make-up Haul!

Hello everyone,

I recently took a little venture to Superdrug. Ooops. This is what i got....

This is a lip-gloss from the 'Tanya Burr' cosmetic range that she released early this year. I chose the Lip-gloss called 'First Date', and its gorgeous. A baby pink with shimmer, perfect. It stays on for a good length of time, and its not sticky! and best of all.. it smells of strawberries and cream!

I honestly think, every girl needs this nail polish. Firstly, its called 'Mind The Gap, Victoria'... you can get much more British than that! Secondly, it is soooooo pigmented, and so bold! personally, bolder the better! And thirdly, it brings any plain outfit alive, you could be wearing the most dullest/colourless outfit and your nails with this colour on, your outfit just got made!

I'm gonna say it, i am a mascara whore. I currently have 5 on the go.. oops. But wow! This mascara does wonders, for someone who has naturally medium/long eye lashes.. with this, i get long/extra long eye lashes. The applicator is so smooth and soft, with a little bit of flexibility. It doesn't hurt to take off, and most defiantly doesn't crease around your eyes.

Lastly, i thought i'd try a new foundation. I have never tried the Loreal Paris True Match Foundation before. Its good, really good, i got the shade ' R2.C2 Rose Vanilla'. Ooo its gorgeous, it glides on and blends into your skin really effortlessly, giving a flawless finish, but with medium coverage. However it is very buildable too. It lasts on my skin all day, and the coverage is basically the same at the end of the day. I have really enjoyed using this product and i will most defiantly be re-purchasing it.

I hope you have enjoyed reading my short Make-Up haul.

Until next time, Thank-you for reading.

2 beauty reviews

Hello guys,

I have very recently got home from a very beautiful holiday in lanzarote with my boyfriend. We had a lovely time, despite the flight delay on the way home and the windy weather.. Be aware! Other than that, I would totally recommend going to lanzarote, it's a very pretty island.

More importantly, at the airport, I was in heaven with all the duty free makeup, perfumes and food. Omg, it is my favourite part of the airport, knowing you products cheaper. It's a win win situation, especially now because your duty free bag is not classed as your hand luggage. I flew from a very tiny airport, so there wasn't loads to buy, but I did pick up two very beautiful makeup products.

To the left, is The Body Shop All-In-One BB Cream, in the shade 00
To the right is YSL Rouge, In the shade 31

The body shop BB cream is amazing, I've never tried anything like it. It comes out as a white cream, but once you start to buff it into your skin, it changes to match your skin tone, amazing i know!!. There are 4 shades that you can buy, I brought the lightest shade, just because I am so pale. I would recommended this to everyone, it's so easy to wear because you hardly feel as if you are wearing anything on your skin, I think it's a perfect product for summer. It also gives your a beautiful glow, as if you have been sitting out in the sun, lovely! I have very sensitive skin, but this has not irritated it at all, which makes me love it even more.

The YSL Lipstick, omg. I had been wanted one of these for ages, I was too scared to buy one though because I had never spent that much on a lipstick before. But now.... I want to buy them ALL. It is not sticky at all, the colour is so so so pigmented it stays put, even through a meal, which is perfect. It honestly glided on, with no tugging or pulling, I didn't even put pressure on the lipstick. I don't think I can stress enough about how amazing it is. If you are Looking for a high end lipstick, I would really recommend checking YSL out, you won't regret it.
