My Halloween Make-up

Hello everyone!!

I hope you all enjoyed Halloween as much as i did. This year i decided to go as 'The Black Swan'. I had found many different pictures and styles and tutorials of this look, however i decided to just do my own take on this look and this is what i have created. I hope this can help some of you that are struggling for ideas for next year, or for a fancy dress party you may have planned ahead.

As you can see from above. I have put my hair into a slick doughnut bun, using one of the buns you can buy from any supermarkets or beauty stores. To achieve the same hair all you will need is ...

  • 1 hair Doughnut
  • 1 hair band
  • bobby pins for any fly away
  • hair spray

For my makeup i didn't want to have a pale face like she did in the film, so i have just done my normal base/foundation routine, with a slightly more defined contour. For the eye makeup, I used...
  • A black liquid eyeliner, to make a guide around my eyes of where i wanted the two points on my nose to sit.
  • I used 'Blackout' out of the Naked 2 Palette as my base on the lid, with this shade i went right up to my eyebrows and towards the side of my eyes. I built up the colour and intensity until i was happy with it
  • To achieve the 'feathery' look, i found an coal black eye-liner from 'Frontcover' that had a small sponge/smudging tool on the end of it. So i applied the eye-liner from the ends of my eyebrows to the start of my hairline, then with the sponge end i just flicked it away from my face
  • I also added some silver glitter to the inner corners of my eyes, to make it look brighter and to  make the look a bit more glamours. There is also some glitter blended in with the flicks around my eyes, just to make it a bit different
  • This look would have looked better with some big eyelashes, unfortunately i wasn't able to find some in time, so i just applied mascara

It is not very clean, but on my lips i have lined with with just a normal black coal eye-liner, colouring in my lips in the corners as well with the black eye-liner, as i wanted to create an ombre style look. So for the rest of lips, i used a matte red/berry lipstick from Rimmel.

(EXCUSE THE MESSY ROOM)
For my outfit, i just wore a simple black velvet dress from Boohoo, paired with some chunky heeled boots from River Island.... And of-course some fake blood, it is Halloween.

Thank You for reading this, i hope it has inspired some of you too also recreate this look.

Love Jessy Xx
